Harris and I've been married since 1999 and we have two fur babies of the feline sort. We have a pretty good life, all things considered. But, it's not complete. Seven years ago I received a diagnosis of PCOS, a condition which has taken a toll on both my body and soul. It will not beat me though and we will be parents.

Oh good. Wait, what?!

You could have knocked us over with a feather when we received the notice and scan from SCI this morning.  How in the world?  It's just...wow.  This morning, during the scan, they found a second heartbeat and embryo!!!  TWINS!!!  Can you believe it???  WOW!  Both look to be "normal," and have good heartbeats (150/154 bpm).  The biggest of them ("THEM," WOW!) is measuring at 8 weeks, 3 days.

TWINS!!

    1. Good advice; I'm working on a mantra. It's something along the lines of "stick, grow, hold, please, God" right now. It'll get better, but that's the essence of it.

  14. OMG, this is one of the best news in the SCI blogsphere this week. I am thrilled to know your surrogate is carrying two embryos with healthy heartbeats. What a blessing you and Duane have received!
I think you probably already know, but the other great news is knowing Bernadette and her twins are finally back in their US home after 132 days in New Delhi.
