(Allie & Harris) Wife, teacher, patient, thinker, friend, worrier, planner, seeker. These are the hats I wear on a daily basis for the roles in my life. Harris and I've been married since 1999 and we have two fur babies of the feline sort. We have a pretty good life, all things considered. But, it's not complete. Seven years ago I received a diagnosis of PCOS, a condition which has taken a toll on both my body and soul. It will not beat me though and we will be parents.

  1. Dear Allie and Harris

OMG can't believe it. I am so sorry for you, after all you went through. This is so sad and we so feel for you. Not sure what else to say other than please don't give up. We got our positive on the 3rd attempt.

One day you will both make the most fantastic parents. Mia sends her love and a big cuddle).

    Thinking of you.

  3. I'm very, very sorry for you. :( I know how horrible it feels, it took us two practicing rounds to succeed. Please, don't give up. And I very much hope that you don't have to feel this twice!!!

  5. So very, very sorry to read this, Allie (and Harris)! Our hearts go out to you both--I agree with the other ladies: keep trying--your time will come, and you WILL be parents. I used to struggle with why God would give me the desire to be a mother when I could never get pregnant on my own, but His grace is sufficient, and His timing perfect, though we don't understand at the time. He has a plan for you!! Give yourselves time to grieve. I went through 3 in vitro rounds (lost our bean at 7 1/2 weeks on the third and grieved for a solid year) before this fourth round was successful. Hugs and prayers,

    Jill and Alex

  8. Dear Alli, I would love to tell you to just "not give up." However, if it were simply a matter of will power, we'd all sure as heck have babies by now. There are so many other aspects- physical, emotional and financial involved. However, I have met you and I KNOW that you will be a mommy someday. Take time and figure out your plan. (And call anytime if you need to chat.) Sending huge hugs.

  9. No No No! It's so unfair after everything you go through! I was so depressed and angry when I got my negative and I still can't believe after all the effort you put in even before you get there and all the meds, needles, scans, bloating, pain that you get a negative. It just sucks and sadly it's just the luck of the draw. Take time out and when your ready to move forward having a plan helps. So sorry xx

  13. It is hard to stay focused at the moment, but as with a number of other people, I agree that having a plan does help. Unfortunately, that is based on experience. We are all feeling for you, because we've been there as well and really do understand. It still all sucks though.

I know that since it took us 8 tries to get a positive, the road is not easy, and the emotions are high. Stay strong Allie and Harris!
